💼 About This Role
You'll build the operational foundation of our government affairs function, sitting at the intersection of policy, politics, and execution. You'll design systems that turn advocacy strategy into sustained impact, from a monthly policy salon series to coalition coordination to producing high-quality policy communications.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Design and run government affairs operations: event playbooks, advocacy campaigns, coalition workflows.
- Serve as coordination point between government affairs and Growth, Legal, and leadership teams.
- Support day-to-day advocacy: Hill relationships, lobbying coordination, coalition management.
- Contribute to strategic planning and ensure operational translation: timelines, milestones, accountability.
📋 Requirements
- 4–6+ years spanning federal energy policy, government operations, or political strategy.
- Demonstrated operational excellence building systems and running complex programs in policy or political environments.
- Solid understanding of federal energy policy: tax incentives, regulatory implementation, agency–Congress dynamics.
- Strong writer capable of drafting policy briefs, talking points, and op-eds under time pressure.
✨ Nice to Have
- Senior staff experience in a federal agency (DOE, Treasury, EPA) with operational management exposure.
- Graduate-level education in public policy, international affairs, or political economy.
- Familiarity with transferable tax credit market or project finance.
