💼 About This Role

You'll lead the manufacturing engineering team at Varda Space Industries, owning vehicle production cadence and scaling processes as we build in-space infrastructure. Your work will directly enable Varda's mission to expand the economic bounds of humankind through commercial space capabilities. This role offers the chance to shape a high-performing team in a fast-growing space startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own manufacturing engineering strategy to increase vehicle production cadence
• Build and lead a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers
• Develop and scale manufacturing processes for evolving vehicle designs
• Partner with design engineering to improve designs for manufacturability

📋 Requirements

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering of complex hardware
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Proven experience on complex technical programs in aerospace or related industries

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of aerospace vehicle systems
• Experience with project management of full lifecycle
• Experience with Unigraphics NX or similar CAD software
