You'll lead full-stack design and delivery of AI-native solutions for a focused pod tackling complex problems at Toast. You'll drive technical architecture for initiatives spanning backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces, building LLM-powered agents and workflows that bring AI capabilities directly into product contexts. This role offers the chance to shape cutting-edge AI integration in a platform serving the restaurant industry.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead full-stack design and delivery of AI-native solutions
• Drive technical architecture for pod initiatives
• Build and integrate LLM-powered agents and workflows
• Set and uphold engineering standards within the pod
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and code reviews

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years designing and delivering scalable software systems
• Experience leading technical architecture for a platform or product
• Experience building or operating LLM-powered agents or AI infrastructure
• Strong foundation in modern backend (Java, Kotlin) and frontend (TypeScript, React)

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with A2A protocols and multi-agent orchestration
• Experience with machine learning concepts or ML infrastructure
• Familiarity with observability tooling for AI/LLM systems
