💼 About This Role

You'll specify microarchitectures for high-performance ML computing cores on Waymo's autonomous vehicle compute platform. You'll optimize power, area, and performance of digital designs. This role offers the chance to work on one of the world's highest performance automotive compute platforms.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Translate high level requirements into hardware features
• Specify and design microarchitectures for ML performance
• Perform power, area and performance exploration
• Design high performance execution units and arithmetic circuits

📋 Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years industry experience with SystemVerilog, RTL design and microarchitecture
• 3+ years designing microarchitectures of high performance computing cores (CPU/GPU/NPU)
• Fluency in high level programming language such as Python or C++

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience designing datapath elements of high performance cores (CPU/GPU/NPU)
• Experience with Chisel or other higher-level hardware DSLs
• Working knowledge of machine learning algorithms and hardware mapping
