Description

You will define the architectural vision for the 'Dry Lab' bioinformatics ecosystem, transforming raw genomic sequencing into clinical insights. You'll own the long-term technical roadmap for production pipelines and tertiary analysis systems, ensuring computational efficiency, scientific rigor, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 10+ years software architecture or technical strategy experience
• 5+ years focused on bioinformatics or genomic data systems
• Expertise in cloud-native orchestration and high-performance computing
• Experience with FDA/CAP/CLIA regulatory standards
• Strong background in pipeline workflow managers (WDL, Nextflow, Snakemake)

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise strategy for production-grade bioinformatics pipelines
• Architect scalable cloud-native orchestration for elastically scaling pipeline volume
• Lead design of tertiary analysis platforms for variant classification automation
• Ensure data architectures comply with HIPAA, GDPR and support clinical operations
• Mentor engineering and bioinformatics teams on software engineering excellence
