Description

You will install, troubleshoot, and commission VFD units in the field, respond to equipment breakdowns, conduct on-site repairs, and perform preventative maintenance for clients in the Greater Boston Area.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience with multiple manufacturers of Variable Frequency Drives
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from heights/ladder
• Strong working knowledge of three phase motors and control circuits
• Can read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, safety rules, operations manual, PID's, fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics
• Possess installation and troubleshooting skills for heating and cooling systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 SST
• Ability to prepare inspection and appraisal reports
• Team player with good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
• Mechanical Assembly and Troubleshooting Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• Experience programming, calibrating, and configuring 4-20 mA 0-10 Vdc devices
• Exceptional ability to work independently without direct supervision

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, start-up, commission and verify proper functionality of multiple brands of VFDs
• Work with management to run an efficient service department
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers
• Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize callbacks
• Keep management and customer informed of job progress and issues
• Provide valid options for additional work and service
• Prioritize following safety procedures
