💼 About This Role

You'll build and evolve the video transcoding and playback platform at Roblox, innovating on new uses for video in a 3D world. You will own unique challenges of playing video in a 3D environment and drive improvements in video quality across devices. This role offers the chance to work with C++ and C# in a high-scale distributed system.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own video playback challenges in a 3D world with changing resources
• Evolve video ingest, transcoding, processing, and streaming platform
• Improve video encoding quality across devices
• Collaborate with teams to bring product visions to life

📋 Requirements

• At least 5+ years developing and deploying video systems
• Deep experience with adaptive video playback systems
• Successfully deployed a multi-service distributed system at scale
• Proficiency in C++ and C# or another backend language

• Experience with performance optimization on constrained platforms
• Knowledge of video quality metrics
• Familiarity with data pipelines and telemetry
