You will own the technical architecture for large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines, lead data warehouse and lakehouse design, and design event-driven architectures. You'll set modeling standards, drive performance and cost optimization, and adopt AI-assisted engineering practices responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Own technical architecture for large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines using Apache Beam, Spark, or Flink with managed runners like Google Cloud Dataflow
• Lead data warehouse and lakehouse design for analytical and operational use cases, setting modeling standards and driving performance/cost optimization
• Design event-driven and streaming architectures with strong correctness guarantees and schema evolution
• Set technical bar for the team: architect systems, make trade-off decisions, unblock cross-team delivery, and mentor engineers
• Adopt AI-assisted development responsibly, setting guardrails and delivering AI use cases like intelligent data quality, anomaly detection, and automated alert triage
