Description

As a Structural Bridge Project Manager, you will manage bridge and transportation design projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives for our Kansas/Missouri Division. You'll work on high-impact projects like interstate interchanges, river bridge replacements, and statewide bridge management programs.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Registered Engineer in Kansas and/or Missouri
• Minimum of 7+ years of bridge design experience including project management responsibility preferred
• Proven experience on KDOT or MoDOT bridge projects preferred
• Seller/Doer mentality, client interaction experience a plus
• Track record of adhering to design budgets and project schedules
• Excellent communication and client relation skills
• Strong understanding and familiarity with steel/concrete design software
• Experience with bridge inspection, including completed NHI training a plus
• Good time management skills, ability to work efficiently within time constraints while dealing with numerous concurrent activities
• Willingness to travel to project/work sites as necessary

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager on bridge and transportation design projects
• Create and execute project work plans including developing project scope, schedule and budget estimates
• Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
• Mentor junior staff
• Contribute to Kansas Division strategic growth initiatives
• Champion relationships with key clients, including KDOT and/or MoDOT
• Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events
• Identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits
• Identify resources needed and effectively delegate staff duties and responsibilities
• Serve as the primary interface between clients and staff for a given project
• Coordinate, monitor, and review work performed by sub-consultants
• Promote team environment and communication, identify and address team conflicts
• Network and actively participate in professional organizations
