💼 About This Role

You'll set the technical direction for our backend systems at Posh, a platform for building IRL communities. You'll own architecture across multiple services and ship production code daily. This is an in-person role at our New York City office in SoHo.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own backend architecture across multiple services from design to implementation
• Write production code daily and set engineering quality standards
• Partner with leads and product managers to scope large initiatives
• Improve scalability, performance, and reliability as the platform grows
• Identify and clear technical debt across teams

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience including time as Staff, Principal, or tech lead
• Designed and delivered systems spanning multiple services or teams
• Deep expertise in APIs, data modeling, distributed systems, event-driven architecture
• Proficient in Java, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS or similar
