💼 About This Role

You'll own design for Document Canvas and Enterprise Lifecycle at Benchling, the AI platform for biotech R&D. Your work will directly impact how 200,000+ scientists design experiments and run AI workflows. You'll set design direction and contribute to long-horizon AI initiatives.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define product strategy and scope with PM and Engineering teams
• Own design from research to implementation for high-impact initiatives
• Rapidly prototype multiple ideas to validate product directions
• Conduct user research to improve usability in regulated environments

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years driving design of software products, ideally SaaS
• Strong portfolio showing ability to ship successful products
• Experience simplifying complex product architectures or workflows
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex design decisions

• Experience contributing to a design system for complex software
• Background in lab work, scientific process, or healthcare
