Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Education, English, Linguistics, or related field with literacy focus
• 2+ years writing foundational reading items for statewide or national assessments
• Experience teaching beginning or struggling readers using structured literacy approach
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn new guidelines and software

Responsibilities

• Write and review assessment items for K-5 educational objectives
• Edit items and collaborate with writers, editors, and illustrators
• Write achievement level descriptors and assessment documentation
• Collaborate with curriculum designers, psychometricians, and product managers
• Develop project plans and analyze state educational standards
