💼 About This Role

You'll build production-grade embedded firmware and controls for an autonomous electric tractor, ensuring safety, reliability, and diagnosability across harsh field conditions. Your work will directly impact Europe's agriculture and defense by freeing farmers from drudgery and keeping soldiers out of harm's way. You'll own vehicle communications, implement fault detection, and bring up new hardware in a hands-on environment with bench and field validation.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design firmware for safety-critical subsystems like powertrain and hydraulics
• Own vehicle communications: CAN messaging, diagnostics, and logging
• Implement fault detection and safe-state behavior
• Bring up new hardware and debug with scopes and logic analyzers

📋 Requirements

• C/C++ skills with shipping embedded firmware to real hardware
• Simulink experience for functionally safe code
• RTOS or bare-metal firmware and real-time constraints
• Vehicle/industrial communication protocols like CAN, CANopen

✨ Nice to Have

• Cybersecurity awareness for embedded/vehicle systems
• Motor control, actuator control loops or drive-by-wire experience
• Ability to responsibly use AI
