Description

You will develop and execute tests for engines and components at SpaceX's Starship program. Your work involves owning test campaigns, directing technicians, and troubleshooting fluid, mechanical, and control systems in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering
• 1+ years of hands-on testing experience (including internships or extracurriculars)
• Experience with hazardous systems (cryogenic, flammable, hypergolic, pyrophoric) preferred
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control components
• Experience with 3D modeling software and at least one coding language

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engine and component tests to evaluate hardware performance and survivability
• Own test campaigns including test plan creation, system activation, operations, data review, and equipment design
• Direct technicians to fabricate and integrate test articles and stand equipment
• Develop and maintain test procedures, sequences, scripts, and configuration files
• Operate and troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems, fluid, and mechanical systems
