💼 About This Role

You'll design and maintain database systems for a next-generation Animation Pipeline at Skydance Animation. You'll ensure high reliability and performance across on-prem and cloud databases while establishing best practices. This role offers the opportunity to shape data architecture in a creative studio environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and administer on-prem and cloud databases company-wide
• Create data strategy artifacts like policies and metadata specifications
• Evaluate, re-engineer databases to use cloud services and improve efficiency
• Ensure data integrity through validation rules and quality controls
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues including crashes and corruption

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years installing and maintaining PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or Mongo
• 8+ years managing database schemas
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, and practices
• Experience with IaC and managing databases in cloud providers like AWS RDS or Azure

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Power BI
• Experience in Media and Entertainment, VFX, or Animation Industry
• Spanish language skills
