💼 About This Role

You'll join the cybersecurity team at NAWCAD Patuxent River as a Journeyman SOC Analyst, providing timely detection and alerting of cyber threats. You'll monitor security tools, analyze traffic, and escalate incidents to protect mission-critical systems. This role offers hands-on experience with advanced cyber defense tools and clearances.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Monitor SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other security tools for anomalies
• Analyze network traffic to identify malicious activity
• Document and escalate incidents with impact assessments
• Correlate data from multiple sources for situational awareness

📋 Requirements

• Top Secret clearance
• 3-5 years of applicable SOC work experience
• CompTIA Network+ certification
• One of: GCIA, GCIH, GCDA, GSOC, GCED, CYSA or equivalent
