๐ผ About This Role
You'll own the entire electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) program for a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle. You'll set requirements, design solutions, identify EMC risks, and perform tests to ensure electronics performance in harsh environments. You'll interface with external agencies for EMI/EMC certification in a fast-paced startup where your work directly enables mission success.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Establish EMI/EMC requirements and design guidelines for launch vehicle subsystems.
- Perform analyses for conducted/radiated emissions, lightning, ESD, and spacecraft charging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EMI/EMC best practices early in design.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for EMI/EMC problems.
๐ Requirements
- 5+ years of EMI/EMC engineering in aerospace systems.
- Advanced degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
- Experience with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and NASA-STD-4003 documentation.
- Knowledge of in-atmosphere and in-space EMI/EMC including space plasma, charging, and shielding.

- Proficiency with simulation tools (SPICE, HFSS, CST).
- Strong knowledge of RF principles and RF engineering.
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment with flight hardware.
