๐ผ About This Role
You'll own dexterous hand simulation end-to-end at Apptronik, defining contact dynamics and sim-to-real validation for the Apollo humanoid robot. Your work directly unblocks mechanical design, controls, and hardware teams. This high-autonomy role gives you the authority to set technical standards across the company.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Model and tune contact parameters against real hardware measurements
- Design and execute sim-to-real validation workflows
- Build accurate models of sensing and actuation systems in simulation
- Design evaluation environments and dexterity benchmarks in Isaac Sim
๐ Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on robotic simulation experience
- Experience with robotic hands or high-DOF manipulators
- Demonstrated contact-rich simulation experience beyond kinematics
- Proven ability to operate as a domain owner setting technical direction
โจ Nice to Have
- Deep working knowledge of Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or equivalent
- Familiarity with tactile sensing or F/T sensor integration in simulation
- USD proficiency: composition arcs, layers, stages
