💼 About This Role

You'll join Perplexity's security team, taking an adversarial approach to hardening infrastructure, applications, and AI systems. You'll plan and execute red team operations and penetration tests across cloud, web, mobile, and AI/ML pipelines, finding real vulnerabilities before adversaries do.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Plan and execute red team engagements simulating advanced threat actors across cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct continuous penetration testing of web apps, APIs, mobile clients, and cloud infrastructure.
• Assess AI/ML-specific attack surfaces including prompt injection, model exfiltration, and agent abuse.
• Develop and maintain custom offensive tooling, exploits, and automation for security testing.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in offensive security, red teaming, or penetration testing.
• Deep technical expertise in cloud security, web/API security, or Kubernetes/container security.
• Track record of discovering impactful vulnerabilities or developing novel attack techniques.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.

• Published security research, conference talks, or CVE credits.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline security assessment.
