You'll develop optimization algorithms for battery and renewable energy projects, taking ownership of performance across Powerline's portfolio. You'll analyze market data to recommend new features and methods that improve project economics. 🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop optimization, forecasting, and control algorithms for battery and renewable projects.
• Own algorithm performance across all operated projects.
• Lead as market rules expert, staying current on wholesale market developments.
• Analyze market data and asset performance to recommend new features.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years building mixed-integer linear or nonlinear optimization models for real-world problems.
• Strong knowledge of energy markets, EV/fleet optimization, batteries, or renewable energy.
• Proficiency in Python with professional software engineering standards.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts.

✨ Nice to Have

• Ph.D. in operations research, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development.
• Experience with SQL databases and analytics dashboards.
