💼 About This Role

You'll join VEG's six-month NERD program to transition from a practicing non-emergency veterinarian into a confident ER doctor. You'll gain over 160 RACE-approved CE hours and work hands-on with experienced mentors in an open-concept hospital environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Work side-by-side with experienced VEG doctors on real ER cases
• Perform surgeries, advance endoscopy, and learn about exotics
• Complete 3-4 hospital shifts per week (days, swings, nights)
• Participate in weekly case discussions and hands-on training

📋 Requirements

• Valid DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree
• 1+ years as a practicing veterinarian
• Valid license and DEA registration in the state by start date
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with emergency or urgent care
• Certification in RECOVER ALS/BLS
• Experience with exotic companion animals
