Description

You will perform static and dynamic structural analyses across sea, ground, air, and space domains. You'll develop and own FEM creation, collaborate with hardware engineers, and validate designs through testing, ensuring they meet customer requirements and safety regulations.

Requirements

• BS or higher in engineering or applied physics with structures focus
• Deep understanding of statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials
• Structural testing experience with sensor selection, data acquisition, and post-processing
• Proficiency in FEA software (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN) for static and buckling analyses
• Proficiency in Matlab or Python for analytical models, data acquisition, and automation

Responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic structural analyses using hand calculations, spreadsheets, scripts, and FEA
• Develop and own FEM creation at global and subsystem levels
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to drive design based on analytical results
• Conduct validation testing including instrumentation setup, data collection, and model correlation
• Document analysis methodology in technical reports for internal and external stakeholders
