๐ผ About This Role
You'll join the Customer Experience team at Granted, a seed-stage healthtech startup, owning complex medical billing and insurance cases end-to-end. You'll review EOBs for coding accuracy, identify code-level billing errors like upcoding or unbundling, and advocate for users to correct claims and reduce financial liability. You'll work on a small team partnering with Product and Engineering to turn frontline learnings into better workflows.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Own cases from AI handoff to resolution, including outreach strategy and follow-through.
- Review EOBs for coding accuracy, verifying CPT, ICD-10, and modifier codes.
- Identify coding conflicts such as unbundling, upcoding, or mutually exclusive codes.
- Contact providers and insurers via phone, email, and fax to correct billing issues.
- Maintain high-quality case notes and communicate clearly with users.
๐ Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in patient/healthcare advocacy, medical billing, or health insurance.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding.
- Flexible schedule to work 40 hours between 7am-8pm EST, 7 days/week.
- Comfortable working directly with provider offices and health insurers via phone.

- Early-stage or healthtech startup experience.
- CPC, CPC-H, or equivalent medical coding certification.
- Track record of catching billing errors that reduced patient financial liability.
