Description

As a Senior Security Operations Engineer at Brex, you will focus on preventing, detecting, and responding to security threats across corporate and cloud environments. You'll work cross-functionally to perform incident response, lead security exercises, and build tools to improve security capabilities while contributing to the open-source project Substation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR equivalent training OR 5+ years work experience
• Experience in corporate security, detection response, or infrastructure security with security alert triage and incident response
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and DevOps workflows (e.g., Buildkite, Flux, Git, Terraform) in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience deploying and maintaining security tools (e.g., SIEM, data pipelines, SOAR, endpoint tooling, cloud security tools)
• Development skills in Go and Python

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally to prevent, detect, and respond to security threats across corporate and cloud environments
• Perform security incident response, investigation, remediation, and documentation
• Participate in threat hunting and security exercises
• Design and maintain tools and systems for corporate security, detection response, and infrastructure security
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive remediation of security issues
