💼 About This Role

You'll lead the design and development of advanced battery systems for energy storage or similar applications, from concept through production. Your work will directly impact innovation in battery chemistry, cell and pack design, ensuring performance and safety. This role offers relocation assistance to Hanahan, SC.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead design, development, and validation of battery cells, modules, and packs.
• Develop battery performance models including electrical, thermal, and aging behavior.
• Oversee battery testing programs for cycle life, abuse testing, and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate battery systems into products.

📋 Requirements

• Deep technical expertise in battery chemistry, cell and pack design.
• Experience with Battery Management System (BMS) development including SOC/SOH estimation.
• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations (UL, IEC, UN38.3, SAE, ISO).
• 5+ years of experience in battery engineering.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with EV, energy storage, or consumer electronics applications.
• Proven track record of root cause analysis for battery performance or safety issues.
• Mentorship or technical leadership experience.
