Description

You will contribute to crafting and maintaining the nexus of MongoDB's server components, connecting its query system and distributed replication system to its underlying storage engines. Your work includes improving transaction management, scaling the code base, and enhancing resilience and availability for the server.

Requirements

• Experience building industrial-strength software with large user base and robust designs
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with strong proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Interest in database internals theory and practice
• At least 5 years of experience in programming, debugging, and performance tuning distributed and/or highly concurrent software systems

Responsibilities

• Ship measurable improvements through architecting, coding, and leading projects
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure success in a large C++ codebase
• Work with product management and engineering teams to design and deliver new features
• Proactively identify and fix code defects, diagnose and remediate customer issues
• Promote MongoDB values through mentorship, building together, and accountability
