Description

You will lead the manufacturing strategy for complex spacecraft hardware, owning the entire value chain from design for manufacturability through production. You'll drive excellence across PCBA, electronics, and integrated systems, ensuring compliance with space-grade standards while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, space systems, or defense industries
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
• Deep knowledge of IPC-610/620 Class 3, J-STD-001 Space Addendum, NASA-STD-8739 series
• Expert understanding of PCBA manufacturing (SMT, through-hole, conformal coating) and box-level assembly
• Hands-on experience implementing MES and ERP/MRP workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of manufacturing processes for spacecraft systems, ensuring space-grade standards compliance
• Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFA) initiatives from concept through production
• Own quality assurance, lead root cause analyses, and mitigate risks via PFMEA and process validation
• Specify and deploy advanced assembly tools, test equipment, and automation solutions using CAD
• Establish and manage technical relationships with suppliers, conducting audits and driving quality improvements
