Description

Lead the development of the Observability Platform for MongoDB Atlas, overseeing architecture, scaling, and team growth. You will drive technical vision and execution for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting systems that support tens of thousands of customers at massive scale.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience managing multiple teams and scaling distributed systems
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and large-scale data processing infrastructure
• Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in high-performance API development and integrating data pipelines into production systems
• Manager of managers experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Observability Engineering Team to design, develop, and scale the platform
• Architect and optimize systems for logging, monitoring, alerting, and metric visualization at huge scale
• Integrate Observability improvements into MongoDB Atlas across cross-functional teams
• Recruit, hire, and mentor top engineering talent; foster innovation and technical excellence
• Define product and engineering strategy, roadmap, and architecture for the observability platform
