You'll shape Quizlet's AI strategy in personalization, ranking, or GenAI/LLMs, building systems that enhance learning for millions. You'll work on two-tower retrieval, multi-task rankers, or RAG pipelines to power a best-in-class AI learning coach. You'll collaborate across product, data science, and platform teams to ship reliable, scalable ML systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Contribute to the technical roadmap for applied AI across personalization and GenAI
• Build end-to-end ML systems: candidate sourcing, embedding, multi-stage ranking
• Implement LLM features: RAG pipelines, fine-tuning, prompt optimization
• Develop 'Learner 360' representations using behavior signals and context
• Support evaluation infrastructure with offline and online A/B experiments

📋 Requirements

• 5-8+ years of industry experience in applied ML/AI
• BS/MS in CS, ML, or related quantitative field
• Experience building ranking/personalization or search systems
• Hands-on experience with LLM/GenAI systems: fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation
• Strong skills in Python/PyTorch and distributed training on GPUs

• EdTech or consumer mobile experience
• Publications with RecSys or LLMs at top venues
• Experience with modern MLOps stack
