💼 About This Role

You'll lead a data engineering team building event-driven architectures and ML/AI data products that power Plusgrade's product intelligence. Your core impact is enabling data scientists and ML engineers with robust, scalable data infrastructure for production AI.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and scale a team of data engineers for streaming and ML workloads
• Define and deliver data engineering strategy and roadmap
• Oversee design of scalable pipelines, feature stores, and real-time streaming systems
• Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to operationalize models

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years of data engineering experience with ML/AI and event streaming
• 4+ years managing data engineering teams in fast-paced environments
• SQL, Python, AWS, and distributed systems (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Snowflake)
• Hands-on AI tools experience (LLMs, agentic frameworks) in a professional setting

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with ML Ops frameworks (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker)
• Familiarity with data governance tools (Atlan, Alation, Collibra) and compliance (GDPR, SOC 2)
• Experience building data platforms for recommendation or generative AI
