Description

In this role, you'll create new embedded systems from scratch, optimize software for robotic surgery, refine legacy code, and rigorously test systems to meet safety and reliability standards. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to advance automated surgical implantation.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record in science or engineering field
• Proven experience in software development, preferably embedded systems
• Proficiency in embedded languages: C, C++, or Rust
• Experience with communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C) and advanced protocols (PCIe, MIPI, USB, 802.3)
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and datasheets, proficiency with lab equipment

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize embedded software for robotic surgery applications
• Streamline codebase by refining and retiring legacy embedded software
• Rigorously test and validate software systems for safety and reliability
• Participate in peer code reviews and collaborative development
• Write drivers and applications to extend robotics functionality
