💼 About This Role

You'll support the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) at Y-12 National Security Complex, performing accident analyses and developing safety basis documentation in accordance with DOE directives. You'll evaluate hazards, identify safety controls, and brief federal counterparts on the safety posture of nuclear operations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Obtaining federal authorization for nuclear operations at UPF.
• Evaluating accidents from process upsets to natural disasters.
• Developing safety basis documentation per 10 CFR 830.
• Briefing federal counterparts on nuclear safety posture.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Physics from ABET-accredited program.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in nuclear safety.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

• Ability to perform Unreviewed Safety Question Determinations.
