Description

You will review OASIS documentation for accuracy and compliance with CMS guidelines, perform ICD-10 coding, and communicate with clinicians to improve documentation quality. Your work helps prevent Medicare denials and supports home health care service offices.

Requirements

• COS-C, HCS-O, or COQS OASIS certification
• HCS-D or BCHH-C home health coding certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in coding and OASIS review
• Knowledge of OASIS, home care, and Medicare regulations
• Completion of coding quiz with passing grade

Responsibilities

• Review OASIS documents and ICD-10 coding for appropriateness and accuracy using PDGM and CMS guidelines
• Communicate OASIS edit recommendations to clinicians
• Perform final review and lock OASIS
• Maintain productivity at quarterly targets
• Prevent Medicare denials through proper coding and documentation
