Description

You will analyze aerospace structures and mechanisms for satellite products using FEA, collaborate with design engineers, develop environmental test requirements, and mentor other engineers. Your work directly supports missions to the Moon and Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in relevant engineering field
• 2+ years FEA experience (Engineer II) or 5+ years (Senior I)
• Experience analyzing metallic assemblies
• Proficiency with Simcenter Nastran and Femap (preferred)
• Strong familiarity with aerospace structural analysis standards (for Senior level)

Responsibilities

• Validate product designs via detailed structural analysis (FEA) of assemblies and mechanisms
• Create test-correlated FEMs of aerospace mechanisms
• Develop product environmental test requirements (vibration, shock, strength) per SMC-S-016 and NASA GEVS
• Mentor and train other engineers
• Support anomaly and failure analysis of space vehicles and mechanisms
