💼 About This Role

You'll lead SOTIF evaluations and safety assessments for autonomous trucking systems at Torc Robotics, a Daimler subsidiary. Your work will directly impact the safe deployment of L4 autonomous trucks by identifying functional insufficiencies and defining verification strategies. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of freight technology.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead SOTIF evaluations and guide engineers to meet acceptance criteria.
• Identify functional insufficiencies and triggering conditions via HIRE analysis.
• Define verification and validation targets for known and unknown scenarios.
• Communicate SOTIF metrics and risk assessments to management.

📋 Requirements

• Master's with 3+ years or Bachelor's with 6+ years relevant experience.
• Expertise in ISO 21448 (SOTIF), ISO-PAS 8800, and ISO 26262.
• Strong knowledge of automotive, heavy-duty truck, or aerospace products.
• Proven track record applying these standards in complex engineering environments.

✨ Nice to Have

• Understanding of AI-ML techniques.
• Experience with C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Working knowledge of Jama, CAMEO, and JIRA.
