💼 About This Role

You'll set the technical direction for React frontend architecture across Brisk's extension and web apps, impacting over 2 million teachers. You'll own frontend performance, accessibility, and the design system while mentoring engineers. This role combines deep browser extension expertise with full ownership of the user-facing product.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Set technical direction for frontend architecture, patterns, and tooling
• Lead complex UI work in React and TypeScript across multiple surfaces
• Push the browser extension forward across Google and Microsoft platforms
• Own frontend performance: bundle size, rendering, Core Web Vitals

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with majority in product development
• Deep React and TypeScript expertise
• Hands-on experience with frontend telemetry and observability (Datadog)
• Accessibility expertise: semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience shipping production browser extensions to Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons
• Backend experience in Python and Flask
• Prior experience in edtech or building tools for educators
