💼 About This Role

You'll lead end-to-end software evaluation of Zipline's autonomous drone delivery system, spanning sensor drivers, perception, and motion planning. You'll build tools, metrics, and visualizations to fast-track engineering decisions for large-scale deployments and operating domain expansion.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Validate system requirements and iterate on software requirements.
• Design, implement, and execute test scenarios from simulation to full flight test.
• Lead system-level validation strategy for performance, reliability, and safety.
• Build software performance and safety monitors for real-time systems.
• Debug complex validation failures across hardware, firmware, and software.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of software development or validation experience with robotic systems.
• Experience with robotics testing including nominal, adversarial, stress, and edge cases.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and C++ (or Rust, MISRA C).

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with risk assessment tools (STPA, HARA).
• Experience with safety standards DO-178C, ISO26262, ISO 21448.
• Background in reliability engineering or statistical validation techniques.
