💼 About This Role

You'll join the Data Infrastructure team at Assembled to own how data is modeled, stored, and served across the company. You'll rebuild metrics infrastructure from the ground up to enable fast, reliable queries and support both customer-facing dashboards and AI-driven product features. This role offers a chance to shape the foundation of a unified analytics stack that must handle large-scale analytical queries and near real-time interactions simultaneously.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build systems for storage and retrieval of analytical data
• Own the transformation layer that models data for fast metric queries
• Define and maintain the metrics layer for dashboards, exports, APIs, and internal tools
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and Assist teams on AI reporting experiences

📋 Requirements

• Experience with modern data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery
• Built or maintained end-to-end ELT pipelines
• Strong SQL fluency and ability to debug slow queries
• Experience designing or working with a metrics or semantic layer

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with semantic layer tools like Cube, MetricFlow, or Looker's LookML
• Familiarity with analytics-focused software engineering (event tracking, funnel analysis, experiment platforms)
• Experience modernizing legacy data systems or planning large-scale migrations
