💼 About This Role

You'll gain hands-on emergency medicine experience alongside credentialed veterinary technicians in a fast-paced ER environment. You'll engage in triage, diagnostics, and inpatient care while exploring if emergency nursing is your path. This externship offers real-time mentoring and the opportunity to practice skills from your proficiency checklist.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Shadow and assist with triage and outpatient visits
• Participate in diagnostics and anesthesia procedures
• Provide inpatient care under mentorship
• Practice skills from school's proficiency checklist

📋 Requirements

• Enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program
• Current rabies vaccination or titer
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg
• Willing to work in noisy environment with odors
