Description

You will install, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters in production, working closely with engineers to build resilient systems that support SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS/STEM +5 yrs systems engineering, or 7+ yrs without degree
• Experience deploying Linux servers in physical/virtual environments via automation
• Experience with Linux shell, kernel modules, cgroups, etc.
• Experience supporting and scaling containerized applications in Linux
• Experience with Ansible/Terraform for provisioning Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Install, manage, scale, and optimize Kubernetes and RKE clusters using Ansible, Terraform
• Work with engineers to deploy and support software platforms in Kubernetes
• Build highly resilient, high-performance, scalable systems
• Define and document standards for systems design, testing, and implementation
• Participate in on-call rotation
