Description

You will lead a team focused on ensuring the reliability and quality of the Starlink Aviation product across design, manufacturing, test, and flight. You will investigate hardware failures, drive design improvements, and collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to maximize reliability for the Starlink Aviation program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 3+ years in reliability, manufacturing, quality, test, or design engineering
  • 1+ years leading an engineering team
  • Experience in PCB, PCBA, and electromechanical root cause analysis preferred
  • Knowledge of quality tools like Lean, SPC, FMEA, and problem-solving approaches

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small team of engineers and specialists focused on hardware reliability for Starlink Aviation
  • Investigate hardware failures and anomalies in test, production, and fleet, identifying root causes
  • Ensure long-term product reliability and set design requirements to meet certification bodies' reliability standards
  • Create tools and metrics to understand hardware performance and drive reliability improvements
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines, customers, and production teams to maximize reliability
