Description

You will provide direct support to students in social skills, self-regulation, and self-advocacy; conduct comprehensive evaluations; collaborate with parents and teachers; and participate in IEP and child study team meetings to create effective educational plans.

Requirements

  • Hold an appropriate license as an Educational Psychologist from Massachusetts Board of Allied Mental Health Professionals, or national certification from NASP, or school psychologist license from Massachusetts DESE
  • Extensive knowledge of child development and age-appropriate social and emotional skills
  • Demonstrated competency in theory, administration, and interpretation of standardized instruments
  • Ability to write comprehensive and informative reports with appropriate educational goals
  • Professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individual and small groups of students in social skills, self-regulation, and self-advocacy
  • Create and implement positive behavioral plans
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations including cognitive, academic, attention, social/emotional and functional behavior assessments
  • Participate in IEP and child study team meetings to produce comprehensive educational plans
  • Provide crisis intervention including risk assessments and safety contracts
