Description
You will develop rapid, seamless processes to translate engine test data into accurate predictions of future performance for the world's most reliable rocket engines. You'll conduct engine cycle analysis, anomaly resolution, and maintain physics models to guide engine design and operations for every mission.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software engineering and data analysis
- Deep understanding of rocket engine thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
- Proficiency in simulation and modeling techniques
- Ability to work with sparse instrumentation data
- Experience in high-consequence decision making environments
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve accuracy of lumped-parameter thermofluid physics model of Raptor engine
- Conduct engine cycle analysis to steer future-state engine design and thrust upgrades
- Conduct anomaly resolution using engine model and sparse instrumentation
- Develop detailed understanding of physics underlying rocket engine performance and variability
- Maintain and improve accuracy of Raptor engine representation used in integration
