💼 About This Role

You'll join ARSIEM Corporation to support a government client in monitoring network activity and protecting information systems from threats. You'll analyze cyber events, identify anomalies, and recommend proactive measures to contain incidents. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge cyber defense for U.S. Government agencies.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Analyze network traffic to detect anomalous activity and potential threats.
• Correlate events from multiple sources to gain situational awareness.
• Validate IDS alerts using packet analysis tools like Snort.
• Develop signatures and document incidents for further action.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of direct experience in cyber defense analysis.
• Experience with intrusion detection technologies (e.g., Snort).
• Experience implementing incident handling methodologies.
• Experience performing packet-level analysis.

✨ Nice to Have

• GSEC, ArcSight, or other SIEM experience.
• Python programming experience.
• Experience with Carnegie Mellon SiLK tool suite.
