You'll develop and evaluate advanced optical fibre for high-performance systems at PsiQuantum, a leader in building fault-tolerant quantum computers. Core impact includes using simulation and experiments to drive fibre design tradeoffs. You will collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to integrate fibre into utility-scale quantum systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Use simulation tools to evaluate advanced fibre designs and optical systems.
• Design and execute experiments to measure fibre properties and performance.
• Correlate simulation and experimental results to guide development decisions.
• Work with external partners to assess fibre design tradeoffs and performance.
• Translate system requirements into fibre performance targets and evaluation criteria.

📋 Requirements

• PhD in photonics, optics, physics, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Significant experience in fibre optics or guided-wave photonics.
• Hands-on experience with optical simulation tools such as FDTD.
• Experience designing and executing experiments to characterize fibre properties.
