Description

You will lead the channel business for Japan, identifying and recruiting reseller and distributor partners, developing go-to-market plans, and driving pipeline to achieve annual growth quotas. This role combines hunting and farming, requiring you to build relationships and grow Canonical's open source and cloud solutions footprint in the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology field
  • Experience in software or technology sales from Japan market
  • Fluency in English
  • Understanding of open source, Linux, and Ubuntu
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute channel strategy for distributors and resellers in Japan
  • Identify and recruit new potential partners
  • Guide partners through onboarding and enablement
  • Drive and manage channel pipeline through recurring partner interactions
  • Arrange and execute sales and pre-sales training for resellers
