💼 About This Role

You'll help shape the legal foundation of a fast-growing AI company, partnering with Product and Engineering to provide pragmatic privacy guidance across the product lifecycle. You'll own Parallel's privacy and data protection program, from policies to compliance, and build the tools that scale the legal function.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Advise on data collection, retention, and consent across product lifecycle
• Own privacy and data protection program, including policies and DPAs
• Manage compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI privacy laws
• Build templates, playbooks, and self-service tools for scaling legal function

📋 Requirements

• J.D. and active U.S. bar membership (California preferred)
• 5+ years privacy, data protection, or product counseling experience
• Working knowledge of legal frameworks shaping AI products
• Technical fluency with data pipelines and anonymization techniques
