Description

As a GNC Engineer on the Starshield ADCS team, you will design and implement satellite GNC software, develop concepts of operations, and perform high-fidelity 6DOF simulations to ensure reliable vehicle performance across all mission phases. You'll own complex, multidisciplinary problems and work on a high-impact team critical to the success of the Starshield program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, CS, or related engineering discipline
• Software development experience in C++, Python, and/or MATLAB/Simulink
• Strong technical fundamentals in spacecraft attitude dynamics, navigation filtering, or control systems
• Ability to solve complex problems autonomously and take large ownership
• Experience with unit testing, regression testing, and CI/CD in complex software environments

Responsibilities

• Design and implement satellite GNC software for all mission phases, including off-nominal scenarios
• Develop concepts of operations balancing thermal, power, momentum, and payload pointing constraints
• Implement onboard GNC algorithms for high vehicle autonomy and fault tolerance
• Conduct high-fidelity 6DOF modeling and Monte Carlo simulation analysis
• Participate in hardware-in-the-loop testing and sensor/actuator modeling
