💼 About This Role

You'll lead mission planning and orbital mechanics for reentry vehicles at a fast-growing startup. Your work will directly enable the return of space-manufactured products. You will own full-cycle trajectory design from requirements to on-orbit operations.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Perform trajectory design, optimization, and dispersion analysis for reentry vehicles.
  • Design spacecraft trajectories and produce orbital analyses for commercial reentry vehicles.
  • Optimize trajectories based on fuel, time, or performance characteristics.
  • Support in-orbit operations as trajectory specialist.

📋 Requirements

  • B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (or PhD with 3+ years).
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python for simulation development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in designing and flying orbital trajectories or GNC systems.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience with multi-body dynamics, gas dynamics, or thermodynamics.
  • Prior work in a technical leadership role for launch vehicle or satellite development.
  • Experience supporting flight test or flying spacecraft.
