Description

You will lead the team that builds and maintains ClickHouse's client libraries (Go, Python, Rust, Java, etc.) and expand into the broader open-source ecosystem. Your work directly shapes how developers interact with ClickHouse, drives adoption, and influences product direction. You'll recruit and mentor a high-performing team, set technical direction, and represent ClickHouse externally at conferences and in community forums.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing software engineers with track record of hiring and retaining strong talent
• 10+ years industry experience building developer-facing tools, open source software, or data systems
• Hands-on: engages with technical designs, reviews code, and guides via technical feedback
• Experience collaborating with open source communities and earning trust in public technical spaces
• Strong product ownership and customer-centric mindset

Responsibilities

• Recruit, coach, and develop a high-bar team; foster ownership, speed, and continuous improvement
• Shape product and execution strategy for language clients to stay ahead of 10x growth
• Lead expansion from core client libraries into broader ecosystem: integrations, SDKs, partner tooling
• Establish effective collaboration with OSS communities and represent ClickHouse externally
• Build productive relationships with product, developer relations, and sales engineering
